Required Documents
In order to apply for a Hungarian student visa, international students need to prepare certain documents. These demonstrate your interest in Hungary, financial stability, and academic eligibility. A thorough summary of the documents usually needed is provided below:
Offer Letter
The offer letter you received from a Hungarian university accredited by the state must include program details and duration.
Valid Passport
Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond your stay and have two blank pages. Older passports, issued 10 years ago, are not accepted.
Completed Application Form
If you want to stay more than 90 days in Hungary, you need to complete the Appendix form. It can be found via the official website of the Hungarian Embassy in your country.
Passport Size Photos
The size is 35x45 mm. The background should be white. The eyes and ears must be visible, so you should not wear glasses or headwear while taking the photo. The picture must not have been taken more than six months ago.
Proof of Any Money Sent to the University
You need to pay a certain amount of tuition fees or accommodation to the university you want to study at.
English Language Proficiency
A Hungarian university accepts IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE for English language proficiency.
Health Insurance
The health insurance fees are around 150-200 euros. You have to bring the documents to submit the fees. You have to get medical reports of HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and Tuberculosis. This test report should not be more than 3 months old.
Proof of Finances
You must show a minimum of six months' bank statement (of your sponsor). Additionally, please bring the supporting documents if you have received a scholarship. The bank statement should show that you can afford one year's tuition fees, accommodation, and living costs. You need to show the proof of income of your sponsor and a declaration of financial support from the sponsor.Please note that the land registration sheet cannot be accepted as a liquid fund. The process of getting a student visa in Hungary usually takes two months. The visa application center will email you to let you know whether your visa has been accepted or rejected.
