  • Original passport (valid for 3+ months beyond your stay)

  • Printed appointment confirmation (from VFS/consulate)

  • Passport size photos (35 x 45 mm)

  • All supporting documents (acceptance letter, financial proof, health insurance, etc.) in organized, labeled copies

2. Attend Your Biometric Session

This process will happen when you book your appointment at the VFS Global Center or the Hungarian consulate. Here, your fingerprints and photo will be taken. Also, your documents will be verified. This process can take 30 to 40 minutes.

3. Next Steps While You Wait

Track Application

You can start tracking your application immediately after your biometric process. To check the application tracking. 

Prepare for the Interview

You can start preparing for the interview 1-2 weeks before the interview day. You can practice some common questions regarding your university, programs, and Hungary. 

Monitor Email

You need to check your email regularly to avoid missing any updates. 

4. Transition to the Visa Interview

Your application now moves to the interview phase. Make sure you remember the following things:

  • Interview timing: Typically scheduled after biometrics (varies by country).

  • What to bring: The same documents, along with any new updated documents.

The interview may involve questions such as:

  • Why did you choose Hungary and your specific course/university?

  • How do your studies align with your long-term career goals?

  • Who is funding your education, and can you prove it?

  • Do you plan to return to your home country after graduation?

How to Prepare?

  • Be Honest: Provide clear and genuine answers.

  • Stay Confident: Practice responses to common interview questions.

  • Stay Organized: Bring your documents in a well-arranged file for easy access.

The interview is generally conducted in English, depending on your course language. A successful interview significantly boosts your chances of approval.
