Get Your Papers Ready

  • Your original passport (ensure it is valid for the duration of your stay in the UK).

  • The printed paper that confirms your appointment with VFS.

  • Your CAS letter from the university (this is important!).

  • Proof that you have enough money for your studies and living in the UK (like bank statements).

  • Copies of your academic certificates and transcripts.

  • Your TB test certificate (if you need one based on your origin).

  • Your ATAS certificate (if your course needs one).

For any other papers the visa people request, ensure you have the originals and clear copies. Keep everything organized and labeled.

Attend Your Biometrics Session

This process will happen when you book your appointment in the VFS Global Center or the UK Embassy. Here, your fingerprints and photo will be taken. Also, your documents will be verified. This process can take 30 to 40 minutes.

Next Steps While You Wait

  • Track application: You can start tracking your application immediately after your biometric process. To check the application tracking. 

  • Prepare for the Interview: You can start preparing for the interview 1-2 weeks before the interview day. You can practice some common questions regarding your university, programs, and the UK 

  • Monitor your email; you need to check it regularly to avoid missing any updates. 

Transition to the Visa Interview

Your application now moves to the interview phase. Make sure you remember the following things:

  • Interview timing: It will be scheduled after biometrics, which varies by country.

  • What to bring: the same documents, along with any new updated documents.

  • How do your studies align with your long-term career goals?

  • Who is funding your education, and can you prove it?
