Program Overview

  • The program combines theory and practice using Aalborg University's problem-based learning (PBL) model, where students work intensively on group projects addressing real-world problems.
  • It is structured into four semesters, with complexity and specialization increasing over time.
  • Students can specialize in one of two main tracks:
    • Networks and Distributed Systems
    • Artificial Intelligence, Vision, and Sound

Key Features:

  • Projects and courses are closely aligned with current industry and research challenges.
  • Opportunities for internships within Denmark or abroad in the 3rd semester.
  • The final semester (4th semester) is dedicated to a master's thesis project of 30 ECTS credits, which can be done individually or in small groups.
  • The program is taught in English and supported by Aalborg's international research environment.

Career Opportunities:

Graduates are well-prepared for roles in various sectors such as wireless communications, audio and video technology, medical instrumentation, automotive and avionics industries, sound products, and advanced IT infrastructure. The program prepares students to contribute to innovation in technology and engineering fields globally.

Learning Outcomes:

Students gain expertise in designing and implementing new technologies based on communication systems and intelligent algorithms. The curriculum also covers emerging trends like cloud computing, AI-based optimization, machine learning, big data management, and cybersecurity.
