The program develops students' knowledge, skills, and competencies to address complex urban issues by integrating architectural, functional, technical, and social science perspectives.

Students engage in both practical and theoretical work with urban, architectural, and mobility theories. They develop a broad skill set using analogue and digital methods for analysis, design, and communication, including sketching, modeling, citizen involvement, ethnography, and tracking and simulation technologies.

The program prepares graduates for interdisciplinary tasks to create innovative, sustainable, and functional cities that foster future well-being and development. Students gain experience through group projects, lectures, exercises, excursions, research trips, collaborations with design studios and municipalities, and participation in seminars and exhibitions.

Admission requires relevant bachelor's degrees in related fields and proficiency in English. The tuition fee for international students is approximately 111,150 DKK per year.

Overall, the Urban Design program combines creativity, technique, and teamwork, equipping students to influence urban policies and projects while addressing real-world urban challenges.
