Course Structure

  1. First Semester:
    • Focus on foundation courses relevant to the chosen profile (Biomedicine, Translational Medicine, or Medical Market Access).
    • Includes courses like Molecular Pathogenesis, Genomics, Proteomics, Bioinformatics, Immuno- and Molecular Therapy, Regenerative Medicine (for Biomedicine profile), and others based on profile.
    • Emphasis on theoretical and practical learning and group projects.
  2. Second Semester:
    • Continuation of studies with courses tailored to the chosen profile.
    • Courses include Applied Project Management, Regenerative Medicine, Translational Research Principles, Applied Statistics, Health Economics, and Decision-Analytic Modelling.
    • Oral group examination based on project work is part of the assessment.
  3. Third Semester:
    • Focus on independent scientific studies.
    • Students may work in research environments, abroad, or with public/private companies.
    • Work on scientific projects supervised by academic and/or industrial supervisors.
    • No formal courses during this semester, but participation in group meetings and status seminars is expected.
    • Option to perform one 60 ECTS project or two 30 ECTS projects.
  4. Fourth Semester:
    • Continuation and completion of the independent project started in the third semester.
    • Similar assessment with written report and oral exam with external censor.
    • Semester includes career-supporting activities, group meetings, and seminars.
    • Students can collaborate with industry for project work, requiring formal collaboration agreements.
