1st and 2nd Semesters:

  • Focus on understanding culture and communication in a globalization perspective.
  • Courses are divided into Core Courses and Profile Courses.

    Core Courses (examples):

    • Cultural Worlds/Worlds of Culture
    • Intercultural Communication
    • Globalization
    • Philosophy of Science and Methodology
    • Applied Methods

    Profile Courses (depending on specialization):

    • Consumption and Market Communication: Understanding Consumption, Online Marketing
    • Organisation and Leadership: Organisational Culture and Leadership, Organisational Culture and Communication
    • International Politics, Migration and Movements: Social Movements, Migration Connections
  • Students can choose an elective or follow one of the specializations like Arctic Studies, Global Gender Studies, or Chinese Area Studies.

3rd Semester:

  • Option to undertake an internship in Denmark or abroad (minimum 3 months), applying knowledge in an international professional environment.
  • Alternatively, students can choose a mobility stay where they study at another university or research institution in Denmark or abroad.
  • No formal courses are offered this semester.

4th Semester:

  • Writing of the Master’s thesis (30 ECTS), potentially in collaboration with the internship place, focusing on their chosen specialization or academic profile.
