Master’s
The Elite Master of Science in Neuroengineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) combines engineering, neuroscience, and computer science to train experts in brain-machine interfaces, neuroprosthetics, and neural signal processing. For four semesters, students develop advanced skills in areas such as electronics, computational neuroscience, signal analysis, and bioengineering. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, with practical training in state-of-the-art laboratories.
Students benefit from small class sizes, personal mentoring, and research-focused projects, all of which are supported by the Elite Network of Bavaria. The curriculum includes core modules, specialized electives, and research internships. An optional Research Excellence Certificate allows motivated students to gain additional research experience. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in neurotechnology, medical devices, cognitive systems, or academic research, with many continuing to Ph.D. programs. The course is taught entirely in English in Munich, Germany.

Continue advanced seminars or labs.
Semester 4 – Master’s Thesis (30 ECTS)
Conduct a 6-month independent research thesis, often building upon an earlier project.
Culminate work in a written dissertation and oral defense
