Master of Science in Geodetic Engineering

The master's degree program in Geodetic Engineering is designed for students holding a first academic degree in the field of geodesy and geoinformation or related fields such as computer science, mathematics, physics, geosciences, or electrical engineering. In the initial phase of the program, modules are designed to close knowledge gaps. The program then offers three profiles for students to deepen their understanding of a specific area of interest. The profiles reflect the research priorities of the geodetic institutes: Mobile Sensorics and Robotics, Geodetic Earth System Sciences and Data Analysis, and Geodetic Information and Spatial Development.

This degree program equips students with the skills and tools necessary to identify geodetic engineering problems, formulate research questions related to those problems, and solve them through projects. Throughout the program, students have the opportunity to participate actively in research projects, which can also serve as a preliminary qualification for a doctoral degree. The program provides students with scientifically sound specialized knowledge and equips them with the skills and methods needed to work in the industrial sector, in research, and at administrative authorities.
