Master’s
The master's degree program in Economics, taught in English, equips students with the analytical and methodological knowledge, models, and problem-solving approaches necessary to address key societal challenges. The program is theoretically well-grounded, research-oriented, and covers all content areas of economics. It provides students with advanced knowledge of mathematics, statistics, econometrics, and other relevant fields, enabling them to understand complex economic models and judge the relevance and limitations of economic theories. Students are successively introduced to current topics and debates in financial research and have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to a broad spectrum of economic issues.
The contents and methodologies of this degree program are deliberately oriented towards the future, addressing, among others, changes in markets driven by digitalization and internationalization. Students develop a solid and advanced understanding of the core areas of macroeconomics, microeconomics, financial economics, and econometrics. Additionally, students are gradually introduced to the latest research through research seminars, where they discuss new research findings and work on their research projects.
