Master’s
The Chemistry master’s degree program aims to enable students to independently solve complex problems that extend beyond their knowledge, utilizing a wide range of scientific methods taught throughout the degree program. The degree program has a strong emphasis on research. Research activities at the Chemistry Department encompass a wide range of chemistry areas, spanning from fundamental research (e.g., element-metal multiple bonds, reaction pathways) to applied research (e.g., sensors, catalysis).
The Chemistry master’s degree program is primarily directed at students who have already obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. Students who have graduated with a bachelor’s degree in a field other than the one for which admission is sought may also be admitted, provided they meet all relevant requirements.
