Early Childhood Education

Primary Education

Primary education is essential and compulsory for every child. It takes four years (age 7-10) to complete primary education.

Secondary Education

Secondary education is divided into two parts:

Lower secondary: In this level, students gather fundamental knowledge and identify their capabilities.

Upper Secondary: Students learn more complex topics and prepare for university or vocational training.

Tertiary education: The German education system opens all university degrees and vocational training for students. Students can choose their course or degree according to their interests. This part of education makes the German education system unique.

Continuing Education (Higher Education): Higher education is combined with three major programs: Bachelor's, Master’s, and PhD. This section is similar to the world's higher education system.
