To apply for a student visa to Australia, international students must provide specific documents.  These documents will demonstrate your academic standing, financial stability, and passion for Australia. The documents usually needed are broken down in detail below:

The offer letter you have already received from an Australian university accredited by the state must include program details and duration.

It must contain two blank pages and be valid for at least three months after your visit.  Passports issued more than ten years ago are not acceptable.

You need to complete the application form via ImmiAccount. The form can be found on the official Australian student visa website.

The size is 35x45 mm. The background should be white. The eyes and ears must be visible, so you should not wear glasses or headwear while taking the photo. The picture must not have been taken more than six months ago.

You will get a Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE) from the Australian institution to which you have applied. 

Generally, Australian universities accept IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE as proof of English language proficiency.

You must show a minimum of six months' bank statements. Also, if you have received a scholarship, you must bring the supporting documents. The bank statement should show that you can afford one year's tuition fees, accommodation, and living costs. 

Since March 2024, Genuine Student (GS) has taken the position of Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE). A Statement of Purpose (SOP) outlining the following is required:

• Why did you choose Australia?
• How does the course fit into your professional goals?
• Evidence of connections to your nation of origin 

OSHC is mandatory for all students. The compulsory minimum (basic) OSHC plan usually covers visits to the doctor (GP), some hospital treatments, ambulance rides, and limited pharmaceuticals (medicines).

The Australian government requires all international students to be in good health before entering the country. As a result, you may need to undergo a health examination to meet the student visa health requirement.

There are also specific character requirements that you must meet if you want to study in Australia. You’ll have to answer some basic questions about your character and past conduct in your application. In some cases, you may need to provide a police background check.

The process of getting a student visa in Australia usually takes 36 days. The visa application center will email you to let you know whether your visa has been accepted or rejected.
