Course Structure

  • 1st Semester: Introductory Project (5 ECTS), Welfare Foodscapes (10 ECTS), Mapping Meals and their Spaces (5 ECTS), Actor Mapping in Food Networks (5 ECTS), Meal Systems and Technologies (5 ECTS).
  • 2nd Semester: Foodscapes – Enterprises (15 ECTS), Governance and Change Management in Modern Food Systems (5 ECTS), Mapping Food and its Structures (5 ECTS), Public Health Nutrition (5 ECTS).
  • 3rd Semester: Four elective projects (15 ECTS) including Integrated Foodscapes, Food Design, Changing Public Food Systems, or Food Studies and Network, plus Strategic Communication and Staging on Food, Sustainability and Health (5 ECTS), Food Concept Design (5 ECTS), Foodscapes and Project Management (5 ECTS).
  • 4th Semester: Master’s thesis (30 or 45 ECTS) involving individual or group research, often in collaboration with a food sector company or institution.
