- Year 1: Courses and projects
- Compulsory courses: 22.5 ECTS
- Restricted elective courses (mostly within chosen specialization): 22.5 ECTS
- Elective courses (more flexible outside specialization): 15 ECTS
- Major Subject Project: gaining experience in planning and analyzing a research project, usually related to thesis work
- Year 2: Master's thesis
- Thesis project: 60 ECTS, an independent experimental research project often part of ongoing research at university labs or external institutions
- Thesis supervision is provided, and projects can also be carried out externally (research institutions, hospitals, industry).
