Master’s
The Master of Health Psychology is a two-year postgraduate program that provides a strong foundation in the theoretical, methodological, and practical aspects of health psychology. Through this program at the University of Auckland, you’ll gain the knowledge and research skills necessary to design and implement effective health psychology research and interventions within healthcare settings. You will also develop the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of intervention programs and use sophisticated methodological approaches in the health field. The MHealthPsych program prepares you for entry into the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology and opens doors to careers in research and health promotion within hospitals, private practices, or universities. However, it's important to note that the University of Auckland does not guarantee employment or post-qualification registration in New Zealand or any other country. Graduates can pursue roles such as Clinical Health Psychologist, Community Health Psychologist, and Occupational Health Psychologist.
