Program Overview

The program focuses on how organizations create and capture value through strategy design and organization design. This includes formulating strategy and implementing it through effective organization designs. Designing an organization's strategy and structure to achieve its objectives can be even more challenging than designing an effective technical system.

Academic requirements

To qualify for admission you need a relevant Bachelor's degree.

Your degree must include a minimum of 75 ECTS within the field of Economics and Business Administration, comprising at least 5 ECTS within each of the following subjects:

  • Microeconomics or Managerial Economics
  • Accounting
  • Corporate Finance
  • Marketing
  • Organizational theory
  • Statistics
  • Methods for collection and analysis of data
    - statistics or other qualitative or quantitative methods, including mathematics or operations research/operations management. Data collection may be included to a minor extend.
  • Theory of Science and Scientific Methodology and Methods
    - the requirement can be replaced by a Bachelor's thesis (15 ECTS) if your degree is from a University

Course Structure

All compulsory courses are taught in English. Language of examination is English unless it is stipulated in the course description that the exam may also be taken in Danish.

The Master’s Thesis is written in English. However, if the supervisor agrees, the Master’s Thesis may be written in Danish. The oral exam will in this case also be in Danish.
The demand in the curriculum for at least 10 ECTS courses providing knowledge and skill within the area of scientific methods is met through the course Research Methods in Strategy and Organization.
