Program Overview

While business administration deals with individual economic processes, economics focuses on the analysis and evaluation of societal economic relationships. The study of economics examines theories and models of consumer and business behavior, as well as their interactions in markets. The focus is particularly on evaluating market developments about social target indicators (standards of living, working conditions, jobs, inequality, debt, environment, and climate).

In terms of methodology, economics focuses not only on formal models (graphical and mathematical) but also on empirical, statistical, and quantitative methods that can be used to test theoretical assumptions and model policy measures. After learning the fundamentals, the bachelor's program offers an in-depth study in various sub-areas of economics. These include "Market and Competition," "Public Sector, Fiscal and Social Policy," and "International Economics." The single-subject bachelor's program already consists of a supplementary subject. Depending on your interests, you can choose between Business Administration, Sociology, and Law.
