Develop expertise in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Faculty of Arts and Education.
This program emphasizes practical experience. You’ll participate in two supervised teaching placements, observing TESOL classes across diverse settings in Auckland, one of the world’s most multicultural cities.
The program offers a strong foundation in key subjects like psychology, philosophy, sociology, and history, which are essential for TESOL education. You will stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and assessment techniques.
This three-year program is made up of 360 points, with 120 points each year. You will gain hands-on experience in planning and delivering TESOL lessons through courses focused on pedagogy, teaching and assessment, understanding learners, and the theory and practice of education.
