📝 How to Apply

1

Complete eligibility checks for your qualifications

International applicants should follow Sunway University’s international application guidance and ensure your prior qualifications meet the programme’s published entry requirements. If you are applying from abroad, you can email a copy of your resume, bachelor certificate, bachelor transcript (or APEL certificate), and any available IELTS/TOEFL results for a free eligibility assessment (for Sunway’s online application pathway). Start early so you have time to collect certified documents and proof of English language before the application deadline.

2

Submit your international student application form and documents

After eligibility is confirmed, complete and submit the International Student Application Form and attach the required documents. Sunway’s required document list includes the completed application form, a completed health declaration form, certified true copies of academic qualifications, and English language qualifications where needed. Make sure your passport details are complete and upload clear scanned copies of required documents to avoid delays, as incomplete applications cannot be processed.

3

Pay the required fees and wait for the offer letter

Once your eligibility is confirmed, proceed with required payments as instructed by Sunway University. The published process includes an RM 700 enrolment fee and an RM 2,400 student pass or visa processing fee paid to EMGS (non-refundable). Sunway states that successful applicants will receive offer letters by email within 3 working days after submission of required documents and initial payment.

4

Accept the offer and complete the Student Pass (visa) process

After you receive the Letter of Offer, accept it as detailed in the offer terms and sign and return the Acceptance of Offer to Sunway’s International Office. Sunway explains that the Student Pass approval process can take up to 6 to 8 weeks once the International Office applies for your Malaysian Student Pass with the required documents and payments. If you submit late or with missing items, Sunway notes that visa application may be delayed.
