📝 How to Apply

Submit the International Student Application Form

Fill out and submit Sunway University’s International Student Application Form and ensure your information is complete to avoid delays. Attach the required documents, including your application form, passport-sized photographs, and certified true copies of academic qualifications. If your education was not in English, include an accepted English language qualification result as required. Sunway University states incomplete applications cannot be processed and the International Office may request additional documents during evaluation.

Complete eligibility review and proceed with required payments

After your eligibility is confirmed, Sunway University’s international process moves you to the payment steps. The process lists an enrolment fee of RM 700 and a Student Pass/visa processing fee of RM 2,400 paid to EMGS. Make sure you complete these payments as instructed, since visa application processing may be delayed if submissions are late. Keep your payment evidence for follow-up and document checks as needed.

Receive your offer letter and complete acceptance

Successful applicants receive offer letters via email within the stated processing time on the international application guidance. Accept your offer as detailed in the Letter of Offer and sign and return the ‘Acceptance of Offer’ to Sunway University’s International Office. If Sunway requests an incomplete record checklist, send the outstanding documents as instructed. Sunway notes that student visa submission can be delayed if required items are submitted late.

Apply for the Malaysian Student Pass (visa step)

Once Sunway receives the signed acceptance and the required documents and payments, Sunway states it will apply for your Malaysian Student Pass. Sunway’s FAQ indicates a standard student visa application should take 6 to 8 weeks after receipt of a complete application and payment to Sunway Education Group. If you apply too close to the intake date, Sunway warns your application may be considered late and could be deferred due to Student Pass processing timelines. Plan ahead so your complete documents and payments are ready on time.
