The Master of Arts in Creative Arts and Media provides students with an opportunity to carry out interdisciplinary research and contribute new understanding and insights to disciplines aligned with the School of Arts.

The programme is research-based culminating in a thesis (which may include a practical creative arts component, where applicable), and includes one taught module, Research Methods, before proceeding to the Proposal Defence.

Applicants may also be considered with APEL.A Certificate (APEL T-7) or, if the CGPA is less than 2.50, with at least 5 years of relevant working experience. For all options, candidates must pass an interview conducted by a panel from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

Submit a 2,000-word research proposal including the required sections (introduction, problem statement, research questions, research objectives, literature review, methodology, and proposed timeline). If your application is aimed at creative outputs, submit a portfolio containing 5 to 15 examples of original creative work in an accepted media format.
