This programme aims to transform graduates into Malaysia Certified Behaviour Analysts after achieving the minimal supervised practice hours satisfying the training guidelines of the Malaysia Association of Behaviour Analysis. Sunway University is proud to be the first and only provider of the Master of Applied Behaviour Analysis programme in the Southeast Asia region.
The curriculum covers theoretical and practical aspects of applied behaviour analysis, including the knowledge to analyse and modify behaviour and to implement behaviour intervention plans. Graduates also contribute to behavioural assessments and interventions involving individuals with developmental disabilities such as autism.

Course structure
- Study core modules including Concepts and Principles of Behavioural Analysis, Measurement and Experimental Design, and Identification and Assessment
- Complete core modules on Ethical and Professional Conduct, Behaviour Change Applications, and Intervention and Implementation
- Undertake Practicum 1 and Practicum 2 with onsite behaviour analyst supervisors at agencies
- Develop practical competence in delivering behaviour assessments and behaviour intervention plans
- Complete Research Project I to design and implement a behaviour modification intervention using applied behaviour analysis principles
- Complete Research Project II to evaluate intervention outcomes and communicate research results
- Continue building evidence-based practice skills alongside practicum learning
