📝 How to Apply
Submit your international student application
Submit your application to Nilai University about 3 months before the intake you want to enrol in. This timing helps the university facilitate your student visa application process. Ensure your selected programme matches your academic background and that you meet the stated English language and academic entry requirements.
Complete the application documents and required forms
Prepare a completed application form and supporting documents according to Nilai University’s international student checklist. You will need a completed accommodation form, passport copies (with the required validity), recent passport-sized photographs, and a Health Declaration Form. If your country requires a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or Eligibility Letter (LOC), include the original copy as instructed by Nilai University.
Pay the required fees and send the documents and payment details
Pay the programme application fee and any other required fees listed for international students, then send the documents together with your payment details as instructed by Nilai University. Nilai University states the Programme Application Fee as RM700 and provides a list of other payable international-student fees (such as visa application fee, health screening, insurance, and student pass fee). After Nilai University receives your documents and payment details, you will receive an email with the Letter of Offer and related acceptance instructions.
Complete visa processing through the Letter of Offer process
Follow the visa submission process using the student Visa Approval Letter handled through the required Malaysian services. Nilai University states that successful applicants will receive the Visa Approval Letter within six to eight weeks after processing. You must also endorse the Visa Approval Letter at the nearest Malaysian Embassy/Consulate/High Commission before travelling.
Arrive in Malaysia and complete post-arrival requirements
After visa endorsement, prepare for travel and plan your arrival in line with instructions from the university. Nilai University notes that you should inform the International Office of your flight details five working days before departure and that student entry is arranged with a Nilai representative present. After arrival, Nilai University states you will undergo a post-arrival medical examination within two working days and then complete Student Pass application support through state immigration procedures.
