Master’s
The Master of Professional Accountancy (CA) at Massey University is designed for those aiming to build a career in accounting, finance, and business while working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant in New Zealand. This programme combines academic study with the full CA Program requirements, giving you a clear pathway into the profession.
You’ll develop a strong understanding of financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and business strategy, with a focus on applying these skills in real business environments. The degree supports students from both accounting and non-accounting backgrounds, helping you build the knowledge needed for professional roles.
On completion, you will meet the academic and professional requirements set by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ). The final step toward full CA status is completing three years of mentored practical experience while working in the field.
This qualification strengthens your ability to work in complex business settings and prepares you for progression into senior accounting and finance roles. It also signals to employers that you have the skills and commitment required in the accounting profession.
For students interested in accounting careers, Chartered Accountant pathways, and finance roles in New Zealand, this programme offers a recognised and structured route into the industry.
