Master’s
The Master of Management (Human Resource Management) at Massey University provides advanced knowledge in human resource management, organisational behaviour, and people strategy within a global context. This programme is designed to help you understand how effective HR practices support business performance across different industries.
You’ll build a strong foundation in HR theory and strategy, while learning how to apply this knowledge in real workplace situations. The course is suitable for those from non-HR backgrounds who are moving into HR roles, as well as graduates who want to deepen their expertise in human resource management in New Zealand and internationally.
The programme focuses on both practical and strategic aspects of HR, covering areas such as talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development. You’ll also work on case-based learning, helping you address real business challenges and develop solutions.
You’ll benefit from the research expertise of Massey’s academic staff, along with industry connections, including alignment with the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRINZ) competency framework.
This degree prepares you for roles in human resources, organisational management, and people leadership, equipping you with the skills needed to manage and develop talent in modern organisations.
For students interested in HR careers, organisational strategy, and workforce management, this programme offers a strong pathway into professional and leadership roles.
