The purpose of the Bachelor’s degree course in Interdisciplinary Healthcare and Management is to provide qualified nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists with the tools to structure their day-to-day practice and attain management positions. The course is designed to be compatible with continued work in your profession and gives you an academic foundation for exploring and implementing profession-specific and interdisciplinary methodologies and approaches.
This six-semester course builds on students’ prior professional experience and keeps class sizes relatively small to enable you to contribute your expertise and work within an interdisciplinary network. The first two semesters cover healthcare professions as academic disciplines, public health, interdisciplinary communication and teamwork, health economics and business administration, while later semesters develop research methods, health systems and health policy, and include practical placement and specialist project work, ending with a Bachelor thesis.

📝 How to Apply
Check whether your qualifications allow you to study in Germany
HAW Hamburg cannot assess in advance whether your school certificate or university qualification is sufficient. Your university entrance qualification will be checked by uni-assist on behalf of HAW Hamburg, and this assessment takes approximately 6 weeks. Use the DAAD database for initial guidance, but you still need to contact uni-assist to apply for the formal evaluation.
