📘 Program Overview

Im Studiengang Flugzeugtechnik an der HAW Hamburg bekommst du eine fundierte und praxisnahe Ausbildung in einem der bedeutendsten Luftfahrtstandorte weltweit. Du lernst, wie moderne Flugzeuge entstehen – vom ersten Entwurf bis zum fertigen System – und arbeitest eng mit der Flugzeugindustrie zusammen.

Die Schwerpunkte liegen im Leichtbau, in den Systemen, in der Aerodynamik und Flugphysik sowie in den Kabinensystemen. Im siebten Semester absolvierst du ein 22-wöchiges Industriepraktikum und schließt dein Studium mit der Bachelorarbeit ab, häufig in Zusammenarbeit mit einem Unternehmen oder in einem Forschungsprojekt.

Foundation phase
  • Builds MINT foundations in the first three semesters.

Aeronautical core phase
  • Starts dedicated aeronautical/aviation engineering fundamentals in the fourth semester.
  • Connects scientific fundamentals from the first semesters with aviation-technology subjects.
  • Prepares you for the Wahlpflichtbereich (elective specialisation) in the later study years.
Specialisation phase (electives)
  • Selects a study focus from the elective catalogue (e.g., Leichtbau, Systeme, Aerodynamik und Flugphysik, Kabinensysteme).
  • Depending on your elective choices, you build a focus such as Leichtbau (e.g., thin-walled structure elements, fibre composite materials and processing).
  • Alternatively, you can focus on Systeme, Aerodynamics and flight physics, or Cabin systems using the corresponding elective modules.
Industry practice and final thesis
