Career outcomes

  • You earn a logistics-focused business degree while the dual structure ties your studies to the daily operations of a shipping and logistics company, so you graduate with both academic and job-relevant skills.
  • The program is built around logistics depth and a clear business foundation in topics such as investment and financing, accounting, and logistics law, helping you qualify for planning and controlling roles in logistics.
  • Because the degree is integrated with an apprenticeship track and the IHK examination is part of the program flow, you exit with stronger employability in logistics and supply-chain related functions.
  • You develop practical problem-solving and project-management capabilities that are directly useful for roles in transport coordination, operations management, and logistics process improvement.
  • Your bachelor degree supports progression to more responsible specialist and leadership paths in logistics and related business functions, including roles that require structured analytical thinking.

Employability rate

For logistics and supply-chain related bachelor graduates in Germany, employers typically show an employability rate of around 86% and an unemployment rate of about 14%, reflecting steady demand for operational and planning talent.

Overall, this points to a generally stable job outlook when you pair the degree with relevant practical company experience from the dual structure.

✅ Entry Requirements

Academic qualification

RequirementDetails
Higher education entrance qualification (foreign equivalent)International applicants who have a foreign higher-education entrance qualification and/or a foreign university degree/qualification must follow the HFH process for applicants with foreign qualifications. HFH advises applicants with foreign university access eligibility or foreign qualifications to contact the study advising team because their documents are individually reviewed. The general HFH requirement is that you can prove the (Fach-)Hochschulreife or an equivalent route for admission.
No German degree required for admissionThis dual Bachelor is based on access to the degree programme via a suitable higher-education entrance qualification or an equivalent admission route for applicants with foreign qualifications (rather than requiring a specific German school certificate). HFH also requires proof of basic practical knowledge via a required internship/practical component unless it is already demonstrated through relevant prior training, continuing education, or work experience.

Language requirements

The HFH states that for admission applicants must provide proof of at least B2 German language proficiency. HFH also notes that it does not offer study programmes in English for this pathway, so German language documentation is relevant for international applicants.

MOI (Medium of Instruction)

MOI waiver details are not published for this programme. See the English test requirements above.

    📝 How to Apply

    1

Contact HFH study counselling for foreign qualifications

If your university entrance qualification and/or degree qualifications were completed outside Germany, you must follow the HFH guidance for applicants with foreign qualifications. HFH advises applicants to contact the HFH study advising team so your documents can be individually checked. Prepare your education documents and request confirmation on eligibility before submitting your full application.

    2

Provide required practical knowledge evidence (Grundpraktikum)

HFH states that for Bachelor studies you must prove basic practical knowledge via a Grundpraktikum of 12 or 13 weeks, unless this requirement is already met through relevant education, training, or work experience. You should gather evidence such as employment certificates and proof of relevant practical experience for an individual review. Submit these documents with your application or as requested by the study service.

    3

Submit your application for the dual programme

Complete the application process for the programme through HFH’s official application workflow during the admission period. Ensure that your foreign qualification documents are ready for the review step, and that you can meet the stated minimum German language level of B2. If anything is unclear, use the study counselling support before final submission.
