In early December 2024, the Welsh Government announced that it would increase the tuition fee cap from £9,250 to £9,535 for courses commencing after 1 August 2025. This is the maximum amount that Welsh universities can charge UK students for their full-time undergraduate courses.
As a result of this change, the tuition fees for new students studying at the University of South Wales from September 2025 onwards will increase to £9,535 per annum.
To support students, the Welsh Government is increasing the tuition fee loan to a maximum of £9,535. Please visit www.studentfinancewales.co.uk for eligibility and applicable terms.
This increase in the tuition fee cap brings Wales in line with other UK nations that were already able to charge up to £9,535 for their relevant courses.
