Start by checking whether your first degree level matches the programme’s ECTS requirements (180, 210 with compensation, or 240 ECTS) and whether you meet the current employment and professional experience conditions. Gather your passport and your academic documents so you can upload them with your application. If you need a preparatory course for entry (Methodenlehre when you have 180 ECTS), plan it before your start date.
Complete the official application steps on the FOM application process website during the published application window. Upload the required documents in the requested format and submit your application before the deadline. After your registration documents are submitted, you should receive feedback about eligibility quickly on working days.
If accepted, you will receive an admission letter after your documents have been reviewed and you are eligible for admission. FOM’s International Office explains that you must pay a deposit (1st instalment) to secure your study place, and then pay a 2nd instalment to meet visa requirements. After both payments are confirmed, you will receive your certificate of enrolment (Immatrikulationsbescheinigung), which you need for your visa appointment.
