Program Overview

The MSc Eng programme in Sustainable Energy Technologies provides you with qualifications in the development of new solutions for accelerating the transition to a sustainable future.

Study programme focus

Each study line specializes in specific aspects of energy technologies, from bio-fuels and energy conversion and storage to wind and solar energy.

The programme also allows you to specialize in the integration of multiple energy solutions as well as providing concepts for integrating these new technologies in the existing energy system. In the coming decades, global energy systems and new energy technologies will undergo major changes, and their sustainability will prove to be of the utmost importance - environmentally, economically, and socially.

Programme provision

To obtain the MSc degree in Sustainable Energy Technologies the student must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Have passed Polytechnical foundation courses adding up to at least 10 ECTS
  • Have passed Programme specific courses adding up to at least 50 ECTS
  • Have completed a Master thesis of 30 ECTS points within the field of the general programme
  • Have passed a sufficient number of Elective courses to bring the total number of ECTS of the entire study to 120 ECTS

Academic

Approximately 75 per cent of the maximum obtainable grade. This may vary depending on the grading system of the university awarding the Bachelor degree.
