📝 How to Apply

1

Check recognition of your foreign qualification

Confirm whether your foreign school-leaving certificate provides direct university admission in Germany and whether it grants general or subject-specific eligibility. DIPLOMA requires applicants with foreign qualifications to prove equivalence before admission. Applicants without direct eligibility may need previous university study or the Studienkolleg and Feststellungsprüfung route. Complete this assessment early because the outcome determines the correct application pathway.

2

Prepare language and academic documents

Collect your passport, curriculum vitae, photograph, certified school certificates and complete academic records. Prepare proof of German language proficiency at a minimum of CEFR B1. Include records from previous university study when they are needed to establish direct admission eligibility. Applicants following a preparatory pathway must also provide the relevant Feststellungsprüfung evidence when available.

3

Complete the official online registration

Submit the application through DIPLOMA Hochschule's official online registration system. Registration for the distance-learning programme is possible throughout the year because the university does not publish a fixed application deadline. Select Wirtschaftsinformatik B.Sc. and the intended online or study-centre format. The regular starts are April and October, while another entry date may be approved following an individual assessment.

4

Wait for qualification and admission review

The university reviews whether your foreign qualification, German proficiency and supporting documents meet the admission requirements. It may request further evidence or an individual recognition assessment. Applicants without direct university entrance eligibility must complete the required preparatory route before enrolment. Proceed with visa and financial preparations only using the admission outcome and instructions issued for your case.

5

Arrange visa and financial proof

Applicants who need a German study visa should apply through the responsible German mission before travelling. Prepare the admission evidence, valid passport and accepted proof of sufficient funds. For 2026, the official federal guidance states a blocked-account amount of at least EUR 11,904. Visa processing can take considerable time, so begin this process as soon as the university has provided the necessary admission documentation.
