The program provides you with in-depth academic and professional knowledge, including theories and methods in international relations, academic skills, and empirical expertise in the field of global politics. Through the cooperation of the three universities, you will benefit from a comprehensive range of courses that encompass a broad spectrum of theoretical approaches, subject areas, and extensive regional expertise.
As part of your Master's program in International Relations, you will choose one of two possible concentrations: Global Challenges or EU Studies. The program covers international organizations and institutions, international economic relations, comparative foreign policy and regional analysis, EU studies, and peace and security policy. Half of the core courses are offered in German and half in English. A professional internship is a mandatory part of the program. A period of study abroad is also strongly recommended.
