The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is an interdisciplinary, research-oriented program taught entirely in English. It combines advanced knowledge of electrical engineering, computer science, and information technology to prepare students for careers in cutting-edge technological fields.
Over the course of four semesters, students develop expertise in areas such as embedded systems, communications technology, robotics, signal processing, microelectronics, and artificial intelligence. The program offers high flexibility, allowing students to choose from a wide range of elective modules to shape their academic profiles.
Emphasis is placed on both theoretical foundations and practical skills through laboratory courses, seminars, and research projects. Students also complete an industrial internship and a research-focused Master’s thesis. Graduates of the program are well-equipped for positions in high-tech industries, R&D, or for pursuing a doctoral degree. The program starts in both winter and summer semesters.
