📘 Program Overview

MINTRO is the new orientation program at the University of Potsdam’s Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and starts with the Summer Semester 2027. It is designed for people interested in a MINT (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) degree who are not yet sure which field is best for them.

At the beginning, students choose a MINT focus subject as their Schwerpunktfach. The introductory module for that focus subject and the “Mathe-Basiskompetenzen” are mandatory. Students can also try additional subjects during the orientation semester, and it is possible to switch to another field if they find something better suited.
