📝 How to Apply

1

Start the application and submit documents online

Submit your application online and attach the required certified academic documents and English language evidence (or exemption supporting documents, if applicable). Include the programme name you are applying for and your intended intake date. After you submit complete documents, APU indicates that you will normally receive the results within 2–3 working days.

2

Receive the Letter of Offer and pay the pre-arrival processing fee

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will receive a Letter of Offer. To enable the university to submit your student pass application, you must pay the RM 3,600 pre-arrival application processing fee immediately along with the documents required for visa application. This pre-arrival processing fee includes visa processing via EMGS (and applicable GST charged by EMGS), APU/APIIT application and processing fees, and assistance for arrival and first-arrival accommodation.

3

Submit documents for student pass processing through EMGS

Once APU receives your complete documents together with the student visa application and fees, it will submit your application to EMGS. APU states the processing may take about 2–3 weeks on receiving complete documents and payment, and advises that application forms arrive at least eight weeks before the intake date to support early approval. APU also advises you to avoid entering Malaysia during visa processing to help prevent delays.

4

Prepare for arrival and medical screening

After you receive the visa approval letter, prepare for arrival in Malaysia using the arrival guidance from APU and the student pass requirements. APU states that you will need to go for a medical check-up at EMGS-appointed clinics within 7 days of arrival in Malaysia. APU also notes that health insurance is compulsory for all international students, and medical results are used before student visa endorsement for the duration of studies.
