📝 How to Apply

1

Request an offer letter (Stage 1)

Submit your application for the postgraduate programme by providing the required academic documents and English language proof for international applicants. APU’s international student process also instructs you to clearly indicate the programme you are applying for and your intake date. After receiving complete documents, APU states you will normally receive results in 2–3 working days.

2

Confirm admission and prepare for visa processing (Stage 2)

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will receive a Letter of Offer and must confirm your enrolment. APU states that payments of RM 3,600 (approx. USD 950) as Pre-Arrival Application Processing Fees are required immediately to enable the student visa application process. Along with your acceptance, you must provide items such as passport copies, certified true copies of academic documents (and certified translations if not in English), passport-sized photographs, and your English certification results.

3

Student pass visa processing (Stage 3)

After APU receives your complete documents together with the International Student Visa and application fees, APU submits the application to EMGS. APU states that this may take about 2–3 weeks on receiving complete documents and payment, and you should submit application forms at least eight weeks before the intake date. APU also advises that you should avoid entering Malaysia during the visa process so your student pass application is not delayed.

4

Arrival and student visa entry (Stage 5)

Once your student pass is approved, you must plan your travel using the required visa process for entering Malaysia for study. APU explains that all foreign students who have received their student pass approval letter must obtain a visa to enter for study purposes. APU also notes planning arrival timing so you do not enter Malaysia earlier than two weeks prior to the course commencement date.
