📝 How to Apply
Apply online and request an offer letter
Submit the APU online application and upload the required certified academic documents (with English translation where applicable), plus your English test results. Clearly indicate the programme you are applying for and the intake date. APU states that you will normally receive results within 2 to 3 working days after receiving complete documents.
Accept your offer and complete pre-arrival visa processing
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will receive a Letter of Offer, and you must confirm enrolment. APU states that payments of RM 3,600 (Pre-Arrival Application Processing Fees) are required immediately along with additional documents to start the Student Visa process. APU also notes that this fee is non-refundable once the offer has been accepted.
Student pass visa processing through EMGS
After APU receives your complete documents and visa and application fees, they will submit your application to EMGS for student pass processing. APU states that the visa process may take about 2 to 3 weeks when documents are complete. APU also advises applying 6 to 8 weeks in advance of the scheduled intake because visa processing takes time.
Arrive in Malaysia and complete medical screening
After visa approval (VAL), APU prepares for student arrival and provides arrival guidelines. APU states that students should arrive at least one week before the intake commences to avoid missing orientation and international student briefing. APU also states you need to complete medical check-up at EMGS appointed clinics within 7 days of arrival in Malaysia.
