📝 How to Apply

1

Initiate your application for the APU offer letter

Submit an online application using APU's official application portal. Include certified true copies of your academic qualifications (with English translation where applicable) and provide copies of your English test results (IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/MUET). Clearly indicate the programme and the intake date you want to apply for. APU recommends applying 6 to 8 weeks before the scheduled intake, and visa processing normally takes 3 to 4 weeks.

2

Confirm admission and pay the pre-arrival processing fees

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will receive a Letter of Offer. To enable the university to proceed with your student visa application, you must pay the pre-arrival application processing fees immediately along with the required documents. APU states that the pre-arrival application processing fee is non-refundable once the offer has been accepted.

3

Complete student pass (visa) processing through EMGS

After APU receives your complete documents, the student visa application is submitted to EMGS (Education Malaysia Global Services). APU states this may take about 2 to 3 weeks once complete documents and payment are received. APU advises that all application forms should arrive at least eight weeks before the intake dates for early approval.

4

Prepare for arrival in Malaysia after the Visa Approval Letter

Once your Visa Approval Letter (VAL) is approved, you will be notified and you can proceed with arrival preparation. APU advises avoiding entering Malaysia during visa processing to prevent delays or issues with student pass approval. On arrival, APU states that international students must report to the International Students Arrival Centre (ISAC) operated by EMGS for entry processing and guidance before Malaysian immigration clearance.
