The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Information Technology at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation is designed to help you develop a broad understanding of information technologies, including frameworks and planning techniques used to strategically manage information systems in organisations, and the skills to critically evaluate and apply appropriate strategies and techniques to build information technologies.

The program covers Degree Level 1 and Degree Level 2 common and specialised modules, includes an Internship/Industrial Training for a minimum period of 16 weeks, and then supports advanced topics through Degree Level 3 with options such as cloud computing and big data, culminating in a final year project and required MQA compulsory subjects.

Mathematics prerequisiteFor all listed entry pathways, APU requires a credit in Mathematics at SPM/IGCSE/O-Level level (or an equivalent) as part of the general requirements. If you have a pass but not a credit in Mathematics, APU may require a Pre-Requisite Mathematics module prior to or at the beginning of study.

📝 How to Apply

Initiate your APU application and submit documents

International applicants should submit the online application and include certified true copies of academic qualifications with English translation where applicable, plus copies of English language results. APU also advises that you clearly indicate the programme you are applying for and the intake date in your application. You will normally receive results in 2–3 working days after APU receives complete documents.

Receive the Letter of Offer and pay the Pre-Arrival Application Processing Fees

If you meet the eligibility criteria, APU issues a Letter of Offer. To enable the university to submit your student visa application, you must confirm enrolment and pay the Stage-1 Pre-Arrival Application Processing Fee immediately along with the documents listed by APU. APU states that this fee includes visa processing by EMGS for international students in Malaysia, and it is non-refundable once the offer is accepted.

Student pass (visa) processing via EMGS

After APU receives your complete documents together with the International Student Visa and application fees, APU submits your application to EMGS. APU notes this may take about 2–3 weeks once documents and payment are complete, and advises that application forms arrive at least eight weeks before the intake dates for early approval. APU also advises that you should avoid entering Malaysia while your visa is being processed.

Visa approval and travel preparation

When your Visa Approval Letter (VAL/e-VAL) is approved, APU confirms that you will receive notification and can download the VAL. Before departure, ensure your documents are in place for immigration clearance, including student pass approval letters and visas. APU states that student pass approval letters are generally valid for six months from the issuance date and you should not enter Malaysia earlier than two weeks prior to the commencement date of your course.
