School qualifications for Direct Entry to Level 1International applicants can be considered for direct entry to Level 1 based on STPM (2 passes with at least Grade C in Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry, plus a credit in Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry at SPM level or equivalent), A-Level (2 passes including Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry), UEC (5 Grade B’s including Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry), or a relevant Matriculation/Foundation programme (minimum CGPA of 2.0 with a credit in Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or equivalent).
Diploma route for Entry to Level 2International applicants may be considered for entry to Level 2 through a relevant engineering diploma route, including completion of the APU/APIIT Engineering Diploma with credit transfer (subject to APU Academic Board approval), or completion of a diploma in Engineering from other recognised institutions with credit transfer (subject to APU Academic Board approval).

For international applicants, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU) requires an approved English language qualification. 📝 How to Apply

Initiate your online application

Complete the APU online application form and upload the required supporting documents for undergraduate study, including certified true copies of your academic qualification with English translation where applicable. Submit your English language results (IELTS/TOEFL etc.) and clearly indicate the programme and intake date you are applying for. APU notes it is strongly recommended to apply 6 to 8 weeks in advance of the scheduled intake because the visa process normally takes 3 to 4 weeks.

Wait for your Letter of Offer and confirm your admission

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will receive a Letter of Offer. To enable APU to submit your Student Visa application, you must pay the pre-arrival application processing fee of RM 3,600 along with the required documents after accepting the offer. APU states this pre-arrival fee includes EMGS visa processing and APU/APIIT application processing, and it is non-refundable once the offer is accepted.

Submit documents needed for visa processing

After acceptance, provide the documents APU lists for the student visa application to commence, including passport photographs, copies of all passport pages (including blank pages), and certified academic documents. APU also requests an English certification result for visa processing. If your documents are not in English, you must submit certified translated copies together with the original copies as part of the visa documentation.
