📝 How to Apply

1

Initiate the online application and prepare certified documents

Submit your online application through APU’s official application channel for the selected programme and intake date. APU asks you to include Certified True Copies of academic qualifications (with English translation where applicable) and English certification results (IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/MUET). If you are applying with forecast results for undergraduate entry, APU indicates it may issue a conditional offer based on meeting specified final grades.

2

Receive the Letter of Offer and confirm enrolment for visa preparation

If you meet the eligibility criteria, APU will issue a Letter of Offer. To enable the University to submit your student visa application, APU states you must pay the RM 3,600 Pre-Arrival Application Processing Fees immediately along with acceptance of the offer. Along with acceptance, APU lists documents needed to commence visa preparation, including passport details, passport-sized photographs, certified academic documents, and English certification results.

3

Student visa processing via EMGS and wait for the Visa Approval Letter

After APU receives your complete documents and the international student visa and application fees, APU submits your application to EMGS. APU advises that this student visa process may take about 2–3 weeks when documents and payment are complete, and recommends that forms arrive at least eight weeks before the intake date. When approved, you receive your Visa Approval Letter (VAL) by email or post and APU will then guide you for arrival steps.

4

Plan travel after approvals and complete required arrival steps

APU states you should avoid entering Malaysia during the visa process to prevent delays and issues with student pass approval. For entry after approval, APU explains that you must obtain the Single Entry Visa (SEV) using your Student Pass Approval Letter (e-VAL) reference and then enter Malaysia within the validity guidance provided. On arrival, you must complete immigration clearance and also attend medical screening within the required timeframe stated by APU.
