Student pass and visa processing with EMGS
APU explains that once it receives complete documents together with the International Student Visa and the application fees, it submits the application to EMGS for student pass processing. APU advises that application forms should arrive at least eight weeks before intake dates to support early approval. During processing, you should remain outside Malaysia to avoid delays and issues with the student pass application.
Receive the Visa Approval Letter and prepare to travel
After your student visa is approved, you will be notified with the Visa Approval Letter (VAL). Plan travel so you arrive not later than one month before the expiry of your e-VAL and avoid entering Malaysia earlier than two weeks before the course commencement. On arrival, you will follow APU’s arrival guidance and attend medical screening as instructed.
