Immigration Clearance at the Airport
When you land in Malaysia:
- Show your passport
- Present the printed eVisa
- Show your Visa Approval Letter (eVAL) from Education Malaysia Global Services
- Sometimes immigration may ask for an offer letter or accommodation details
After verification, immigration normally gives you a temporary pass (about 30 days).
Report to Your University
Within the first few days after arrival:
- Go to your international student office
- Submit your passport and arrival documents
The university coordinates the visa process with
Education Malaysia Global Services.
Post-Arrival Medical Screening
All international students must do a medical check in Malaysia.
This check is arranged through clinics approved by
Education Malaysia Global Services.
It usually includes:
- Basic health exam
- Blood test
- Chest X-ray
Passport Submission for Student Pass
After the medical check:
- The university sends your passport to immigration
- Malaysian Immigration processes the Student Pass sticker
Processing time: about 2–3 weeks.
Receive Student Pass & i-Kad
Once approved, you will receive:
- Student Pass sticker in your passport
- Student i-Kad (student ID card)
These are issued by the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
The Student Pass normally covers 1 year and can be renewed until your program finishes.
